Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ganéwa ("Ganéwa", "we", "us", or "our"), including our website, mobile-optimized web app, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What Ganéwa is

Ganéwa shows you which mobile network performs best in your area, based on real signal readings shared by people nearby, and lets you buy mobile data plans directly from the Service. We are a reseller of data plans, not the mobile network operators (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile) themselves.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. Wallet and payments

Funds you add to your Ganéwa wallet are held as credit toward future purchases on the Service and are not a bank deposit or interest-bearing account. Wallet funding is processed through licensed third-party payment processors; we're not responsible for delays or failures caused by your bank or payment provider.

Wallet credit is generally non-refundable to your original payment method, except where required by law or where we determine, at our discretion, that a refund is appropriate — for example, where a purchase could not be fulfilled (see Section 4).

4. Data purchases

When you buy a data plan, we place an order with a third-party data vendor on your behalf. Most purchases complete within minutes, but delivery ultimately depends on that vendor and the recipient network, both outside our direct control.

  • If a purchase is confirmed as failed, the amount is returned to your wallet automatically.
  • If a purchase's outcome is temporarily unclear (for example, following a network timeout), we hold the charge and confirm the real outcome with the vendor before refunding or finalizing it — rather than refunding immediately and risking you being charged twice for the same data.
  • Double-check the recipient mobile number and network before confirming a purchase — we cannot reverse a data plan that was correctly delivered to a number you entered incorrectly.

5. Network-quality contributions

The Service may collect network signal readings and approximate location from your device, with your permission, to build the area-level network comparisons the Service shows. By contributing readings, you grant us the right to aggregate and display this data (in a form that doesn't identify you) to other users. See our Privacy Policy for more detail on how this data is handled.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to defraud us or any third party;
  • Submit false network readings, or otherwise manipulate the Service's data with intent to mislead other users;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems;
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service; or
  • Use the Service to purchase data for resale at commercial scale without our consent.

7. Referrals and promotions

From time to time we may offer referral rewards or promotions. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or end any promotion at any time, and to withhold or reclaim a reward obtained through abuse of the promotion's terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, and underlying software, is owned by Ganéwa and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our branding or content except as needed to use the Service as intended.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Network rankings reflect crowd-sourced readings and may not perfectly predict your own experience at any given moment. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ganéwa will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, engaged in fraud, or put other users or the Service at risk. Any remaining wallet balance at termination will be handled in line with Section 3.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
